• Advance client’s decision‑making, productivity and participation in a range of daily activities; perform all other job duties as assigned.
• Facilitate the client’s inclusion in positive community experiences. Transport clients to appointments, community activities, or other locations as needed, ensuring safety and timeliness during travel.
• Maintain current knowledge of client’s needs. Maintain positive communications and relationships with supervisor, clients, landlords, employers, family members, Regional Center, D.O.R., and other individuals in the community.
• Participate in the evaluation of the client through completion of task analysis and other requested assessment devices.
• Implement individual training and support programs under the direction of the case responsible person.
• Document required activity records, reports, incidents, and client evaluations in a timely, complete, and accurate manner as required.
• Promote independence in daily activities while be mindful of client’s intellectual and physical disabilities; assist with meals, cooking, household maintenance, grooming, and dressing as assigned.
• Address challenging behaviors proactively and respectfully, using methods outlined in plans and training.
• Oversee client activities and environment throughout shift to ensure fulfillment of health and safety needs; provide direct service as needed.

• 18 years of age or older. Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
• A Direct Support Professional works as scheduled by the Regional Manager and/or supervisor; overtime may be required as dictated by operational needs, but no holiday or overtime may be worked without prior approval.
• Insured, registered vehicle in safe working condition, and proof of current CA driver’s license.
• Schedule may be part or full time, depending on client and organizational needs.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Adjoin’s client case management platform requires use of a mobile smart device (cell phone/tablet) with reliable internet connectivity and data.
• Physical evaluations may be required depending on duties; may include TB test and/or lift and transfer test.
• Certification in an approved First‑Aid and CPR class; or successful completion within 45 days of hire.
• Ability to travel within and throughout the counties where services are provided a minimum of 75% of the time.

• Aptitude for confidentiality, strong organizational skills, and good interpersonal skills.
• Reimbursement is provided for a mobile smart device required to perform essential functions.
