Direct Support Professional – Stockton (Part-Time)

Advance client’s decision‑making, productivity, and participation in a range of daily activities. Facilitate the client’s inclusion in positive community experiences.

• Community Facilitate the client’s inclusion in positive community experiences. Transport clients to appointments, community activities, or other locations as needed, ensuring safety and timeliness during travel.
• Maintenance Maintain current knowledge of client’s needs; maintain positive communications and relationships with supervisors, clients, landlords, employers, family members, Regional Center, D.O.R., and other community individuals.
• Teamwork Participate in the evaluation of the client through completion of task analysis and other requested assessment devices.
• Implementation Implement individual training and support programs under the direction of the case responsible person.
• Documentation Document required activity records, reports, incidents, and client evaluations in a timely, complete, and accurate manner as required.
• Assistance Promote independence in daily activities while mindful of client’s intellectual and physical disabilities; assist with meals, cooking, household maintenance, grooming and dressing, as assigned.
• Training Address challenging behaviors proactively and respectfully, using methods outlined in plans and training.
• Oversight Oversee client activities and environment throughout shift to ensure the fulfillment of health and safety needs; provide direct service as needed.

• Minimum 18 years of age. Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
• Insured, registered vehicle in safe working condition and proof of current CA driver’s license.
• Schedule may be part or full time; work as scheduled by the Regional Manager. Overtime may be required but cannot be worked without prior approval.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Physical evaluations may be required including TB test and/or lift and transfer test.
• Certification in First‑Aid and CPR class within 45 days of hire.
• Ability to travel within and throughout the counties in which services are provided at least 75% of the time.
• Mobile smart device required; reasonable reimbursement will be provided.
• Aptitude for confidentiality, organizational skills, and good interpersonal skills.
