Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Intelligence Engineer to design, build, and maintain data warehouse systems, transform complex data sets into actionable insights, and ensure our data infrastructure supports key decision‑making processes.
Responsibilities- Assist in designing and developing data warehouse solutions to support analytics needs.
- Collaborate with team members to gather data requirements for projects.
- Support the implementation of ETL processes under supervision.
- Help maintain database structures and optimize performance with guidance.
- Create simple data models and basic dashboards to visualize metrics.
- Participate in data quality checks to ensure integrity and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot basic issues related to data processing and storage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic experience of one (1) year in building and managing data warehouses or similar projects.
- Internship or project experience related to data warehousing or analytics.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouse platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google Big Query).
- Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL tools.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
- Basic understanding of data modeling and integration techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
Extended periods of sitting and repetitive hand/wrist motion while using a computer keyboard and phone. Occasional standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Work is performed during standard hours; additional hours may be required to meet business needs or deadlines.
Hiring Range$35.00 – $38.50 per hour. Compensation is based on scope, responsibilities, qualifications, internal equity, market, and organizational considerations.
