About Bobcat Central, Inc.Bobcat Central, Inc. has been family owned and operated since 1976, serving as a trusted compact equipment dealer across California’s agricultural center and the Sierras. With locations in Stockton, Fresno, Merced, Sacramento, and Reno, we offer parts, service, rental, and sales of Bobcat® equipment, attachments, and Towmaster® trailers. Our commitment to quality, quick response, and competitive pricing has made us a leader in supporting industries such as construction, agriculture, landscaping, home services, and ground maintenance.
Founded by the Franzia family, our legacy is built on innovation, customer satisfaction, and community involvement. We pride ourselves on delivering the best loaders, excavators, compact tractors, utility vehicles, telehandlers, and attachments on the market, backed by a team that values integrity and excellence.
We’re looking for a high-impact Director of Sales to accelerate revenue and dominate market share across our Northern California and Nevada branches — based out of our Stockton office and supporting locations in Fresno, Merced, Sacramento, and Reno. This is not a desk-bound role. You’ll be out front, in the field at least three days a week, supporting your team where it matters most: on job sites, at customer locations, and inside our branches.
You’ll build, coach, and energize a winning sales force that’s motivated to exceed goals and capture every opportunity. Your leadership will shape strategy, strengthen customer relationships, and fuel the success of our fast-growing business. You’ll collaborate across departments to ensure your team has the inventory, tools, and support they need to win — every day.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and expand market share.
- Recruit, hire, and train sales personnel, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Monitor sales metrics, analyze trends, and implement effective strategies for growth.
- Utilize CRM software to track sales activities and customer interactions.
- Conduct hands‑on coaching and educational training for the sales team.
- Visit all company locations regularly to ensure alignment with sales goals and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate across departments to drive company‑wide success.
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and logistics to meet sales demand.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Manage sales contracts and credit applications efficiently and accurately.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Proven ability to drive revenue by managing high‑performing sales teams and optimizing budgeting, KPIs, and overall sales operations.
- Hands‑on experience with compact construction or agricultural equipment, combined with proven sales success.
- Strong understanding of customer base and equipment applications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and people management skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and presentation software; CDK and CRM experience a plus.
- Valid CA driver’s license and clean DMV record; ability to travel as needed.
- Honesty, integrity, flexibility, and availability required.
- Family‑Owned Legacy: Be part of a company with nearly 50 years of history and a reputation for treating employees and customers like family.
- Growth & Impact: Lead a high‑performing sales team and drive growth across multiple locations, making a direct impact on our continued success.
- Comprehensive Benefits: Company vehicle, laptop, iPhone, credit card, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401(k) matching, paid vacation/sick time, holidays, and more.
- Professional Development: Ongoing training, mentorship, and opportunities to innovate in a dynamic industry.
- Ability to stand, walk, maintain balance, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to visit Fresno, Merced, Sacramento and Reno stores with overnight stays as needed.
