Quality Inspector

$22 to $26 hour (Depends on Experience)

• Prioritizes inspections to perform based upon workload and job priorities.
• Inspect product at received from suppliers as needed.
• Inspect product In-Process (1st Piece) as provided by the operator. Inspector checks the product against the print, work order (notes) and other pertinent documentation using applicable measuring tools and test equipment.
• Alerts the operator of deviations found in the inspection.
• Creates and compiles quality records as defined by the Quality Management System and/or by Customer specific requirements.
• Records inspection results into the designated location.
• Responsible to manage Calibration status of gages in the facility so that all gages.
• Trains operators and other personnel with the requirements of the QMS.
• Make sure that the facility is compliant with QMS requirements such as only controlled documents are printed, reference gauges are marked as such, line clearance is done regularly, rejected parts are tagged, segregated, and processed in a timely manner etc. Assists the Director of Quality in maintaining ISO 9001 certifications.

• 1-year previous Inspection experience.
• 1 year manufacturing fabrication experience.

• Measuring tools:
  Fabrivision, Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gage, and Test Indicator.
• A good understanding of mathematics.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Familiar with quality management systems and calibration.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and able to manipulate documents using Adobe Acrobat or Fox it.
• Read, write, and communicate in English.
