Overview

The Port of Stockton, a leader in the Maritime industry and a major economic driver for the San Joaquin Valley, is seeking a Real Estate Associate I-II to assist with the administration, marketing, and leasing of the Port’s industrial, commercial, and warehousing office properties.
Ideal candidates will be passionate about driving strategic real estate planning and development initiatives and thrive in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a customer service oriented, self-starter with a strong knowledge of the principles and practices of commercial/industrial real estate, including property management, asset management, leasing, and property appraisal and valuation methodology. Successful candidates will work onsite.
- Provide administrative, technical, and project support across core departmental functions ranging from Leasing to Electric Utility operations.
- Provide a high level of customer service to Port tenants and other stakeholders.
- Draft, review, and maintain lease agreements, amendments, contracts, and notices.
- Participate in developing and implementing marketing strategies for Port properties.
- Contribute to promotional and marketing materials, website updates, and outreach communications.
Real Estate Associate I:
- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in real estate, business, economics, finance, or a related field; or
- Associate’s degree plus two (2) years of para-professional experience in commercial real estate functions (leasing, appraisal, development, etc.); or
- Completion of real estate coursework or valid California Real Estate Salesperson/Broker License.
Real Estate Associate II:
- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in real estate, business, economics, finance, or a related field; or
- Associate’s from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field plus one (1) year of full-time experience in commercial real estate; or
- Associate’s degree plus three to four (3–4) years of increasingly responsible experience in commercial real estate roles.
- Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license and be insurable under the Port’s liability policy or provide other insurance acceptable to the Port.
- Possession of a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card, to be maintained throughout employment.
- Real Estate license preferred but not required.
