Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Cook to join our team here at Hartburn Lodge!

Hartburn Lodge provides short breaks for young people with complex needs, offering care and attention in an environment that promotes self‑worth, determination, advocacy and empowerment.

• Prepare healthy, balanced and culturally appropriate meals during stays.
• Maintain high standards of safety and hygiene, including kitchen safety checks and compliance.
• Update COSHH, monitor water temperatures, monitor safety of appliances, ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Perform general cleaning in a number of areas within the home.
• Undertake any required training and pursue opportunities for further development.

• Experience in food preparation and knowledge of food nutrition and food allergens and safe food preparation.
• Understanding of cultural needs in regards to food.
• Experience of kitchen safety checks, compliance and ability to keep records.
• Knowledge of COSHH procedures.
• Understanding of the needs of young people with disabilities would be an advantage, as you will interact with the children during your work.

The post is subject to a DBS check.
