Position Summary
The role ensures compliance with company policies, operates forklifts safely, manages inventory, provides member service, maintains safety, upholds merchandising standards, participates in club pick‑up orders, handles inventory, forklift operations, technology support, fosters teamwork, and upholds integrity and customer focus.
What You'll Do- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying them in executing business processes and practices.
- Operate forklifts following company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback.
- Receive stocks and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility by managing inventory flow, following company policy and procedures for utilization of equipment, merchandising, inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing and retaining required paperwork and logs.
- Provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying member needs, providing guidance and support regarding self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting company products and services.
- Maintain safety of the facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations to management.
- Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation by properly zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out‑of‑date goods, setting up cleaning and organizing product displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving, sorting, staging, and delivering merchandise; ensuring prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise; processing defective merchandise; monitoring shrink, security risks, and safety.
- Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking, staging, and auditing for accuracy; coordinating with merchandising associates to finish within acceptable time frames.
- Handle inventory moves and displays safely; track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, control shrinkage, and report poor inventory practices.
- Operate and maintain forklifts safely; report poor or unsafe conditions; notify management when forklifts are not in proper working condition.
- Proactively identify customers who need help; actively engage them and assist with technology services and items; model and help others with technology; identify shrink opportunities and problems, and take steps to fix them; properly maintain equipment and ensure products are organized and stocked correctly.
