Principal Software Engineer

Our Principal Software Engineer opening rewards depth over breadth: pick Team Leadership, go deep, and let Civic Solutions Group handle the rest of the stack. What anchors this Stockton job is ownership; the $178,000 - $265,000, the hybrid hours, the 10-year ask all hang off that.

• Own data integrity across Civic Solutions Group's Team Leadership stores so Stockton numbers never lie
• Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines for faster release cycles
• Stitch MongoDB events into the Django pipeline feeding Civic Solutions Group's technology reports
• Keep Work Ethic schemas backward-compatible so Civic Solutions Group never forces a breaking upgrade
• Resurrect flaky Django tests until the Stockton, CA suite is trustworthy again

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Critical thinking skills and sound, independent judgment
• A CA work history, or strong reasons you'll thrive here anyway
• A knack for Git Lab CI that colleagues quietly come to rely on

You won't find Civic Solutions Group on every billboard, but inside technology circles across CA, this tinker-friendly team is well known. Giving and receiving direct feedback is a skill we practice openly across every level.

You join at $178,000 - $265,000, grow with a mentor, lean on benefits, and flex your hours so Stockton fits work instead of the reverse.

This opening was refreshed recently and remains an active priority for the team.

Don't let a high-trust Principal Software Engineer opening in Stockton become the one that got away.
