Salary: £42,000-£48,000+ DOE

The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Tax Consultant to join a well-established accountancy practice in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work closely with a broad client base, providing both tax compliance and advisory support while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and career.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal and business tax clients
• Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment and other tax returns
• Advising clients on a range of UK tax matters
• Supporting with tax planning and advisory projects
• Dealing with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
• Building strong, long-term client relationships
• Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing their work
• Working closely with managers and partners on more complex assignments

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong experience within an accountancy practice
• Solid UK tax knowledge
• Experience across personal/private client tax
• Strong compliance experience alongside an interest in advisory
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• ATT/CTA or relevant tax qualifications would be advantageous
• The ability to work independently while also contributing to a wider team
