A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Stoke on Trent is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified Accounts Manager to take ownership of a varied client portfolio and lead the team around them.

What's the day to day of the role:
- Managing a varied portfolio, overseeing accounts and business advisory delivery
- Reviewing work prepared by junior and semi senior staff for quality and accuracy
- Acting as a trusted point of contact and building long term client relationships
- Supporting partners on complex assignments and strategic client planning
- Leading, mentoring and developing members of the accounts team
- Contributing to business development and identifying opportunities to grow the client base
Required skills and qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong accounts preparation and review background gained in practice
- At least five years' experience within a UK Practice environment
- Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading a team in a practice setting
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial reporting
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, commercially minded and proactive
