Overview
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Imaging Directorate for enthusiastic and efficient individuals to join the team as an Imaging Receptionist.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for individuals wishing to gain exposure to a wide range of administration tasks along with customer service skills. You will support the Imaging services—comprising of X‑Ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound. This role is team‑based and also involves working independently, providing a professional and welcoming front‑of‑house service for patients attending the Imaging Department, ensuring efficient administrative support and smooth departmental operations.
- Welcome patients into the Imaging Department and assist them using the Imaging Computerised System. Patients may attend for X‑Ray, CT, MRI, or Ultrasound.
- Manage a high volume of emails and phone calls, providing timely and accurate responses.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks using a PC, including data entry and general office duties.
- Utilise Microsoft Office applications as required for day‑to‑day administrative tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional Reception area at all times.
- Liaise effectively with Modality Team Leaders and staff across the Imaging Department to support workflow and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Hardworking, flexible and have experience of working within a team.
- Telephone/ICT skills are essential.
- Ability to work on a rota which includes a variety of shifts, including weekdays and weekends and cross‑site working including but not limited to County Hospital and the CDC.
- Flexibility, reliability and commitment are essential.
This is a fast‑paced environment where multi‑tasking and attention to detail are essential.
