Administration Assistant Band 2 Job Overview

At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with strong organisational and interpersonal skills to join the Audiology Administrative team as an Administration Assistant.

They will work closely with the administrative and clinical team, supporting the department in providing an efficient and effective office service.

Candidates should possess a professional attitude, work flexibly in a busy environment, and ideally have experience as an administrator or receptionist, familiar with secretarial and administrative processes and practices.

Main Duties of the Job

Main duties of the role include:

  • Answering telephone queries
  • Making appointments
  • Typing letters
  • Dealing with patient queries
  • Scanning and logging referrals
  • Monitoring the generic Audiology inbox
  • Working as part of a team and prioritising workload to meet deadlines
Person Specification Qualifications
  • GCSE’s C or above or Level 2 Equivalent for English & Mathematics
  • Previous NHS Experience
Skills & Experience
  • Efficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Competent IT user
  • Experience answering telephone calls
  • Previous work in a busy environment
  • Understanding of NHS procedures
