A Project Manager within our multi disciplined civil engineering business is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects across our client contract. Managing all projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are on time, budget, and meet quality requirements while adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Review starts and stops for Streetworks compliance.
- Oversee acumen entries, ensuring accuracy, reviewing all excavations, backfills and reinstatements to ensure compliant with Code of practice.
- Review defects and Non-Conformance reports to identify early what defects can be rejected.
- Review invoices for operatives, ensuring accuracy.
- Manage and ensure resources have been planned for all weekend work to ensure specified delivery for client.
- Attend and participate in planning meeting to ensure correct resources are available for client specified delivery of work.
- Regular depot visits across the whole contract, ensuring support is given when required.
- Review Live plant hire to ensure unrequired plant are off hired in a timely manner.
- Prepare and manage cost of failure reports.
- Attend and participate in monthly depot meetings with the client to discuss compliance.
- Interview potential new starters ensuring they have the relevant qualification and skills required for the role.
- Ensure required assets are ordered for new starters to start within their role, following induction, ensuring all equipment is ordered and delivered in time.
- Attend mandatory training courses as defined within the company training matrix.
- Proven extensive experience within the same or a similar role.
- A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- GCSEs Grade 9-4 or equivalent.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, with a can do attitude without compromising safety and/or compliance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including employees, management, and agencies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
