Supply Chain & Procurement Manager
Stoke-on-Trent (Office Based)
£40,000 - £50,000 (DOE)
Hours:
8:30am - 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Location:
Office-based role in Stoke-on-Trent
Probation: 6 months
Successful candidates will be subject to referencing and a basic DBS check
The Opportunity
An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to take ownership of purchasing, inventory, and supplier management across operations.
This is a broad, hands-on role offering real influence across the business. You'll work cross-functionally with production, commercial, and finance teams to ensure material availability, control costs, and improve supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage supplier relationships including negotiation, performance review, and supplier audits
Oversee purchasing of raw materials, consumables, and services in a cost-effective manner
Ensure optimal stock levels to meet production and customer demand
Manage inventory control processes including stock reviews, physical checks, and valuations
Coordinate import processes and ensure correct documentation and compliance
Negotiate and manage service-based contracts
Collaborate with production and commercial teams to align supply with demand forecasts
Produce and analyse data reports to support business decision-making
Ensure compliance with relevant storage and safety regulations
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
Background in manufacturing or distribution environments
Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain or procurement
Strong experience in inventory management within an ISO environment
Knowledge of hazard classifications and stock handling requirements
Competent using Microsoft Office and stock management systems
Desirable
Supply chain or procurement qualification
Experience with in a regulated environment (e.g. COMAH)
Strong Excel/data analysis capability
