We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Bid Writer to join our Apprenticeship Business to Markets team. This is a pivotal role supporting the University’s growth ambitions, particularly within apprenticeship and employer‑contracted skills provision.
You’ll take ownership of the bid lifecycle – developing high‑quality, compelling and compliant tender submissions that secure high‑value training contracts and funding. Working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders, you’ll turn technical content into persuasive proposals that clearly demonstrate our value to funders and partners.
What you’ll be doingAs a Bid Writer, you will:
- Write compelling, high‑quality tender responses
- Manage the full bid lifecycle from opportunity to submission
- Identify and prioritise relevant tender opportunities
- Work with internal experts to develop strong technical content
- Ensure compliance with procurement and funding requirements
- Improve bid quality and win rates through continuous learning
- Manage multiple bids and deadlines effectively
You’ll be an experienced bid writer with a strong track record of securing contracts in the education, skills or training sector. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience writing successful bids (ideally in education or public sector)
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes
- Excellent writing and project management skills
- Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
