Client Relations Manager  – Private Sector

Location:
Rochdale (Hybrid), with occasional travel to meet clients

We are looking for a Client Relationship Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of key private sector clients, with a particular focus on High Court Enforcement.

You’ll be the main point of contact for your clients, building trusted relationships from operational teams through to senior stakeholders. Working closely with our Operations, Enforcement, Compliance and Commercial teams, you’ll make sure client needs are understood, service levels are consistently delivered and issues are resolved quickly.

You’ll also help grow our client relationships by identifying opportunities to develop accounts and introduce clients to Engage’s wider services, including early-stage collections, field services, metering and other specialist solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and develop a portfolio of strategic and key client accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with clients at operational, commercial and senior levels.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of High Court Enforcement, including relevant legislation, regulation and industry standards.
  • Monitor SLAs, KPIs and contractual commitments, using data to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Lead account reviews, performance reporting and client governance.
  • Act as the escalation point for queries, complaints and complex issues, working with internal teams to find effective solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for account development, cross‑selling and service improvement.
  • Support tenders, bids, renewals and new business opportunities.
  • Be the voice of the client, sharing feedback and market insight across Engage.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and support the development of the wider Client Services team.
What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, relationship-focused and confident taking ownership, with a strong focus on client satisfaction, service delivery and growth.

You’ll have:

  • Proven experience in client relationship management, account management or a similar commercial role.
  • Experience managing multiple client relationships, ideally within enforcement, debt recovery, legal, financial, utilities or another regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge ofHigh Court Enforcement and confidence working with clients and enforcement professionals.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, contracts and service performance.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for retention, development and growth.
  • Confidence handling complaints, escalations and challenging conversations.
  • Experience using CRM and account management systems.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
  • A full UK driving licence.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience working with High Court Enforcement Officers, enforcement agents, legal professionals or court systems, along with knowledge of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007, Taking Control of Goods Regulations, CIVEA guidance and National Standards for Enforcement Agents.
  • Experience in debt recovery, tenders, contract renewals, regulated environments or Consumer Duty, as well as mentoring junior colleagues, would also be beneficial.
