Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Lead Installer at Newline Highways. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, the position allows a combination of on-site work and some remote tasks. Responsibilities include leading installation projects for Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS), fencing, and other highway safety systems, overseeing teams to ensure safety compliance, and maintaining project timelines. The Lead Installer will also collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver quality work and respond to emergency repair needs when required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with installation and maintenance of Vehicle Restraint Systems, General Fencing, or related highway safety infrastructure
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to effectively delegate tasks and ensure safety practices are followed
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards, highway regulations, and safe excavation practices
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and authorities
  • Professional certifications or qualifications in construction, highways, or safety are a plus
  • Ability to work flexibly, including handling on-site and emergency repair scenarios
  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable) and the willingness to travel within the assigned region
  • Experience working within government contracts or private sector highway projects is advantageous
