Data Centres / Mission Critical Project: £10bn Hyperscale Data Centre Campus Our client is a leading international main contractor delivering some of Europe's most advanced hyperscale and mission-critical data centre developments. They are seeking an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial delivery team on a landmark £10bn hyperscale data centre campus in Blyth, North East England. This flagship development, one of the largest data centre campuses in Europe, will be delivered over the next decade and represents one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of complex MEP packages, ensuring robust cost control, contract compliance and strong commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with Commercial Managers, Project Directors, MEP teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client representatives, you will manage valuations, procurement, variations, change control and subcontract accounts across major mechanical and electrical packages within a fast-paced mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial delivery of MEP packages across the full project lifecycle Prepare and review valuations, payment applications and variation accounts Manage subcontractor accounts, procurement and contractual obligations Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and commercial reporting Support the procurement and negotiation of specialist MEP subcontract packages Identify, assess and manage commercial risks, opportunities and change Ensure compliance with contract requirements and commercial procedures Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to align scope, cost and programme Manage change control, compensation events, claims and commercial negotiations Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors on commercial matters Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts and financial reviews Support junior commercial team members and contribute to best practice across the project Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong MEP exposure Previous experience working for a main contractor delivering large-scale data centres, mission-critical, industrial or complex commercial projects Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical building services Experience managing large subcontract packages and complex commercial interfaces Good knowledge of construction contracts, valuations, procurement and cost control Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline Experience working within large multidisciplinary project environments Strong understanding of project controls, reporting and commercial governance Package Highly competitive salary  comprehensive package Rotation / Accommodation / Living allowance / Travel allowance Bonus / Car allowance / Private healthcare / Enhanced pension / Life assurance Long-term opportunity on one of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre developments This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the UK's most significant construction programmes and play a key commercial role in delivering a landmark £10bn, 10-year hyperscale data centre campus .
