Construction / Project Manager
Location: Bishop’s Stortford (Projects based at Stansted Airport)
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Package
Start: ASAP
We are recruiting for a Construction / Project Manager to oversee multiple small works, reactive refurbishment, and fit-out projects within Stansted Airport.
This is a hands‑on role managing several live projects simultaneously, typically valued between £50k – £1M, ensuring delivery from initial planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple refurbishment and fit-out projects within a live airport environment
- Oversee projects from pre‑construction through to handover
- Produce and review RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Maintain strong health & safety compliance across all works
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and airport authorities
- Monitor progress, programme, and report on project performance
- Manage procurement and site logistics in a live operational environment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Construction / Project Manager role
- Proven experience managing small works, refurbishments, or fit-out projects
- Experience working on multiple projects concurrently
- Confident producing RAMS and managing H&S documentation
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, reactive environment
- Must be able to pass a DBS check
- Experience working in live environments (airports, hospitals, etc.) beneficial
- SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
- CSCS Card
- Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree – desirable)
- Strong project management and coordination ability
- Client‑facing and commercially aware
- Proactive and solution‑driven
- High attention to detail and safety standards
- £60,000 – £65,000 basic salary
