Extra Care & Sheltered Housing Officer

Kevin Cheston Consulting – Fixed Term (12 months) – 35 hours per week – £33,914 per year – Stoke-on-Trent

This role ensures the successful delivery of neighbourhood services across our sheltered and Extra Care villages. The incumbent will maintain high standards of performance, ensure consumer standards, and promote customer safety and wellbeing. The role requires agility, flexibility and coverage across three village locations.

Responsibilities
  • Run daily neighbourhood models in our Extra Care and Sheltered Villages.
  • Support residents to live safely, independently and comfortably, providing outstanding customer service.
  • Conduct risk assessments pre‑tenancy and in response to changing needs, including complex housing support.
  • Collaborate with the Customer and Neighbourhoods Teams to visit residents, check telecare, identify needs and refer to external partners.
  • Work with other teams and contractors to maintain buildings and facilities.
  • Lead new projects, partnerships and initiatives benefiting residents and the wider community.
What We’re Looking For
  • Significant experience delivering neighbourhood services.
  • Experience in a supported housing environment (preferred).
  • Housing‑related qualification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and regulations for providers.
  • Excellent customer service skills and compassion for people.
  • Highly motivated, outcome‑focused and emotionally resilient.
  • Strong communication at all levels.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
