Location: Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas, Staffordshire
Pay: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Flexible, full-time or part-time roles available
Teaching Personnel are seeking compassionate and adaptable Behaviour & Mental Health Support Workers to join schools across Stoke and Staffordshire. We have a variety of roles available, supporting pupils of primary and secondary age
, including schools that cater to both.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in care, health & social care, youth work, or support roles to make a meaningful impact, helping young people with SEMH, Autism, and other complex needs to thrive in education.
Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with emotional, behavioural, or mental health needs
Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing, helping pupils access learning and develop life skills
Support personal care, mobility, and daily routines where required (training provided)
Work across different schools, year groups, and age ranges
Collaborate with teachers, behaviour specialists, and pastoral staff to create safe and inclusive environments
Experience in care, support work, youth work, or a similar role (transferable skills highly valued)
Comfortable supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs
Patient, resilient, and calm under pressure
Passionate about helping young people develop independence and confidence
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
