Location: Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas, Staffordshire
Pay: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Flexible, full-time or part-time roles available

Teaching Personnel are seeking compassionate and adaptable Behaviour & Mental Health Support Workers to join schools across Stoke and Staffordshire. We have a variety of roles available, supporting pupils of primary and secondary age
, including schools that cater to both.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in care, health & social care, youth work, or support roles to make a meaningful impact, helping young people with SEMH, Autism, and other complex needs to thrive in education.

  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with emotional, behavioural, or mental health needs

  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing, helping pupils access learning and develop life skills

  • Support personal care, mobility, and daily routines where required (training provided)

  • Work across different schools, year groups, and age ranges

  • Collaborate with teachers, behaviour specialists, and pastoral staff to create safe and inclusive environments

  • Experience in care, support work, youth work, or a similar role (transferable skills highly valued)

  • Comfortable supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs

  • Patient, resilient, and calm under pressure

  • Passionate about helping young people develop independence and confidence

  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills

  • DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
