Zest Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Stoke-On-Trent, who are looking for a dedicated Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about helping young children flourish both academically and personally.
About the Role
As a Teaching and Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils in Years 3-6.
Your role will involve providing classroom assistance, delivering small group interventions, and ensuring that every child feels confident and supported in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning activities across the KS2 curriculum.
* Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to help raise attainment.
* Foster a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
* Encourage children’s independence, curiosity and confidence.
* Assist the class teacher with preparation of resources and classroom organisation.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.
About You
* Experience working with children in an educational setting (KS2 experience desirable).
* A positive, patient and caring attitude towards supporting young learners.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Understanding of early learning development and how to engage young children effectively.
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting teaching and learning.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
