The Role

Do you want to make a difference for pupils in your community? Join us as a Graduate Maths Excellence Specialist.

This is an exciting and innovative pathway into teaching secondary mathematics with Co‑op Academies Trust. With the generous backing of the Maths Excellence Fund, this opportunity is open to graduates who are passionate both about mathematics and the power of education to make a difference to the lives of young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

We are looking for candidates who are hard‑working, proactive and committed to ensuring all children have a positive school experience which sets them up for the future.

We’re offering £37,101 per annum for a two‑year role, followed by a guaranteed interview for the Co‑op Academies Teacher Training Programme, continuing on the same incentivised salary at the start of your teaching career for successful applicants who remain with the Trust.

This is a new route into teaching, so we are not looking for candidates who already have qualified teacher status.

You will work with high‑attaining pupils, providing academic interventions, enrichment activities and maths masterclasses in a Co‑op Academy, starting with small groups and building towards working with whole classes.

This post comes with the unique opportunity to continue into a graduate pathway in Co‑op Academies Trust on the salaried mathematics teacher training programme and, subject to successful completion, continue as a qualified teacher. We want to develop our Maths Graduates to be suitable candidates for Co‑op Academies Trust leadership pathways.
