1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Persian / Farsi Speaking) - Full Time

Contract: Full Time Temporary (with potential for extension)
Premier Education are currently working in partnership with an established specialist SEN setting, who are seeking a in Stoke-on-Trent who are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This role will involve providing individual support for a pupil who speaks Persian / Farsi, so the ability to communicate in Persian or Farsi is essential. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the pupil's learning, communication, and overall development within a supportive SEN environment.
The school supports pupils with a range of special educational needs, so the ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and passionate about making a positive difference in a child's education.
Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach are important, as you will be working closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to ensure the pupil receives consistent and effective support.
ResponsibilitiesProvide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with special educational needs
Use Persian / Farsi to support communication, understanding, and engagement in lessons
Assist with tailored learning activities and interventions to support progress
Help create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents/carers to support the pupil's development
Support the pupil with both educational and emotional needs throughout the school day
Ability to speak Persian / Farsi (essential)
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
Passion for working within special education or SEN settings
Ability to provide two references covering the last two years of employment
An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or SEND are desirable, although we welcome applicants with strong relevant experience.
