Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Additional Need)

24.75 hours per week (Term time only, plus inset days)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (Flexibility required to meet need)

Grade 4, SCP 5

Salary £25,989 - £13.47 per hour (pro-rated salary £15,019 based on 45.05 weeks)

The Governors wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. Successful candidates must have:

  • Experience of working to support children’s learning, gained in a relevant environment
  • Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice
  • Good understanding of areas of learning, e.g. literacy, numeracy, science, SEN, Early Years
  • Use of other equipment technology – photocopier, computer, iPad, laptop
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to relate well to a wide range of people
  • Work constructively as part of a team whilst being able to demonstrate initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Effective use of ICT to support learning
  • Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 or recognised equivalent
