Ormiston Horizon Academy is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science to start in September 2026.
ResponsibilitiesAs a teacher at Ormiston Horizon Academy you will work with the Principal and the Senior Leadership Team to help the Academy achieve its aspirations and aims.
You will undertake Personal Tutor responsibilities, with training and support. In this role you will manage the pastoral and academic welfare of the tutor group, serving as the first and most regular point of contact for students, parents/carers and subject staff.
QualificationsQualified Teacher with knowledge and understanding of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4. Excellent safeguarding knowledge and experience.
Personal Tutor RoleAll teachers will undertake Personal Tutor responsibilities and receive the necessary training and support to succeed. The Person al Tutor manages pastoral and academic welfare, serving as the first contact for students, parents/carers and subject staff.
