Primary School Teacher (September 26) - Longton (Stoke-on-Trent)

Are you a qualified and experienced teacher looking for a new challenge? Do you have a passion for teaching young learners? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class Teacher to join Aspire People to work in Longton (Stoke-on-Trent).

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning experiences to Key Stage 1 students during PPA sessions.
  • Follow the existing curriculum and schemes of work, ensuring continuity and progression in learning.
  • Collaborate with the Key Stage 1 teaching team to plan engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and record observations in line with school policies.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that supports the development of each child.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive learning community.
  • Uphold the school's values and maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through participation in meetings, events, and professional development activities.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
  • A solid understanding of both curriculums and age‑appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • The ability to plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the students.
  • Effective assessment and record‑keeping skills to track student progress.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to staying abreast of educational developments.
