St John's CE Primary School – Office Manager
Starting date: 1st September 2026. Grade 6, SCP 9-15. Pay: £27,254 - £30,024 (pay award pending). Pro‑rata: £13,046 – £14,372 for 41 weeks per year, 47.36 pay weeks.
Working hours:
19.5 hours Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, 8:30 – 16:00 (including 1 hour unpaid lunch break).
Join our dedicated school community as our new Office Manager! We are seeking an organised, proactive, and highly professional individual to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our busy school office. This is a fantastic opportunity to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and to deliver excellent administrative support within an educational setting. You will be part of an outstanding support staff team across our Multi‑Academy Trust.
Qualifications- Someone to act as a welcoming first point of contact for staff, pupils, parents and visitors.
- A dedicated, caring and energetic team‑player, self‑motivated towards all aspects of school life.
- Prior experience of working in a busy school office.
- An enthusiastic, approachable, and motivated professional looking to make a real impact within a supportive school environment.
- Good literacy and numeracy levels, excellent IT, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Oversee school reception.
- Answer school telephones and make calls.
- Operate school email systems and other communications.
- Manage school registers.
- Operate the school MIS, Arbor; manage data returns.
- Process educational visits.
- Process safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Produce school letters, newsletters and update school/Trust website.
- Manage school orders, invoices and income.
- Manage the administration of the Out of School Club and Nursery provision.
- Administration of staff and pupil absence.
