We are recruiting Secondary Supply Teachers for a range of long‑term placements across Stoke‑on‑Trent and the surrounding areas, starting in September 2026. Opportunities are available across a variety of subject specialisms and can lead to permanent positions for the right candidates.

About the role

As a Secondary Supply Teacher in a long‑term placement, you will become an integral part of the school community, delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment.

Roles are available on both full‑time and part‑time bases and may involve:

  • Teaching your specialist subject across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Planning, preparing and delivering high‑quality lessons
  • Assessing, monitoring and supporting student progress
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Working collaboratively with departments and school staff
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school where appropriate

Requirements

To be considered for these roles, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Have experience teaching within a UK secondary school setting
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Be passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be available for long‑term work from September
