A specialist SEN school in Alasger is looking for a Behaviour Mentor / SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs. This isn't just a classroom support role it's about building trust, creating consistency and helping young people feel safe enough to learn.
The school has a genuinely supportive team, ongoing SEN training and staff who work together to make a difference every day. There are also weekly extracurricular trips and activities, giving pupils opportunities to build confidence outside the classroom too.

What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), SEMH, Autism and ADHD
Working as a Behaviour Mentor, SEN Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant
Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
Helping pupils manage emotions and challenging behaviour
Encouraging engagement, independence and positive routines
Building strong relationships with students who need consistency and support
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroom
What The School Is Looking For:
Experience supporting children or adults with behavioural needs or additional needs
A calm, patient and resilient personality
Someone who can take initiative and think on their feet
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker experience is desirable
Someone who genuinely wants to make a difference to young people
