About the Role

We’re looking for someone with a well‑rounded skill set who brings both experience and a genuine passion for supporting others. In this role, you’ll feel right at home if you have a strong understanding of:

  • Providing a psychology service to support students with complex needs
  • Identifying and delivering appropriate tailored therapy and interventions to promote and develop students’ mental, emotional, physical, and social wellbeing
  • Liaising with families and carers to support student progress and help them achieve their outcomes
  • Carrying out home visits and building positive, supportive relationships with families
  • Welcoming new starters through thoughtful and thorough assessments
  • Delivering engaging, subject‑specific training to help colleagues thrive
  • Managing EHCPs and contributing to meaningful, person‑centred annual reviews
  • Working collaboratively with mental health professionals to support individual needs

About the College

Strathmore college is an SEN college for students aged 16 to 25. What makes us different is that each of our learners work on a completely individual programme which is specifically structured to support them into employment and to gain an increased level of independence as they prepare for adulthood. Good links with employers enables learners to develop skills in the workplace to support their transition.
