University of Staffordshire offers a broad portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in education, alongside apprenticeship routes. These span both Initial Teacher Education (ITE) and non-ITE provision, supporting learners at different stages of their professional development across the education sector. We were successfully inspected by OFSTED in 2024, ranked 5th place in the Guardian Subject League Tables for 2025 and are fully accredited to offer teacher training.
We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic academic to contribute to teaching and learning across our Education provision.
Main responsibilities- Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality academic provision across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within Education
- Teach across a range of education programmes, including ITE (applicants with QTS only), early childhood, education studies, apprenticeships, and related disciplines as required
- Provide academic and pastoral support for students across a range of levels and/or programmes
- Contribute to curriculum development, enhancement and quality assurance processes across the provision
- Contribute to University-led and/or School initiatives in line with strategic priorities and business development plans
The successful candidate should possess an appropriate teaching qualification alongside their postgraduate academic qualification. Experience of Initial Teacher Education (ITE), early childhood, education studies, apprenticeship provision, school or educational leadership, or professional training would be advantageous.
