Assistant Head Teacher – Cicely Haughton School
Pay Range: L8–12

Part of the Senior Leadership Team from January 2027. Directly accountable to the Headteacher, supporting the day‑to‑day management of the school.
Responsibilities- Support the Headteacher in the day‑to‑day management of the school across its delivery.
- Share responsibility with the current Assistant Headteacher, ensuring complementary work streams and strengths.
- Work strategically and operationally to improve school outcomes, including SEND/SEND‑LAC provision.
- Lead the English curriculum, delivering phonics and English daily to a range of ages and abilities.
- Maintain the positive ethos and culture of the school while driving whole‑school improvement.
- Provide leadership that exemplifies resilience, creativity, and solution‑focused problem‑solving in a dynamic environment.
- Experienced and credible educational professional with a proven track record of school improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in SEND/LAC provision, staff training development, and fostering an inclusive culture.
- Strong strategic vision combined with a relentless commitment to improving outcomes for all pupils.
- Ability to work with distinction in both strategic and operational contexts.
