Role Responsibilities
  • Assist with basic preparation of food and refreshments, which may include some cooking.
  • Assist with setting up serving counters for lunch.
  • Assist with general daily cleaning of the kitchen and associated areas.
  • Assist with care, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment in use in the kitchen.
  • Assist with washing up of all kitchen items.
  • Move dining room furniture when necessary.
  • Serve pupils and staff in line with school requirements.
  • Report any inappropriate behaviour in line with the behaviour policy.
  • Encourage children to take a balanced meal, especially those on special or restricted diets.
  • Be aware of children on special or restricted diets for medical reasons.
General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain agreed standard of dress and appearance.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out with due regard to Health & Safety.
  • Undertake appropriate professional development including adherence to performance management principles.
  • Adhere to the ethos and values of the school.
  • Set an example of personal integrity and professionalism.
  • Attend appropriate meetings as directed by SMT.
  • Perform any other duties commensurate within the grade to ensure smooth running of the school.
  • Observe school's equal opportunities policy.

Work pattern: 3 hours a day, 2 days per week, 11am-2pm on Thursday and Friday only.
