Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant

Salary: Scale 3 point 5-6 £ 16,234 to £16,522 pro rata actual salary

Hours: 27.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: Term time only

Contract Type: Fixed term until 31st August 2027

Overview

We are looking for an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and supportive team at Tithe Barn Primary School. Our school is a caring, inclusive community school where every child is valued and supported to reach their full potential. Our aim is to engage our pupils with a rich and fun learning environment. Responsibilities
  • Supporting groups and individuals with their learning across KS2
  • Working flexibly across all year groups within KS2
  • Collaborating closely with class teachers and colleagues from across the school
  • Delivering targeted interventions, including phonics support
  • Supporting pupils with SEND to make progress both academically and pastorally
  • Promoting the school's ethos and values in all aspects of your work
Qualifications
  • Prior experience and knowledge of effectively supporting child development
  • Good knowledge of phonics and ability to deliver effective phonics interventions
  • Understanding of how children learn and a range of strategies to engage pupils
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to the needs of different year groups and pupils
  • Effective communication skills
  • Team player experience
  • Passion for ensuring SEND pupils make excellent progress
