Description

The school caters for pupils aged five through eleven with a range of social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The post involves supporting pupils within class groups under the line management of teachers.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in class groups under teachers' line management.
  • Maintain high standards of support and supervision, while being a positive role model for children.
  • Assist in developing pupils' self‑esteem, self‑worth and self‑confidence within and beyond the classroom.
  • Show resilience, a sense of humour and the ability to work with high expectations for behaviour and learning.
  • Take on or support other tasks as required to promote pupils’ educational attainment and well‑being.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous SEN experience not required; relevant training will be provided.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high resilience, a sense of humour, and the ability to maintain high standards.
  • Commitment to promoting joy of learning and the best educational opportunities for all pupils.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship is available.
  • Subject to Disclosure and Barring Service criminal records check; all unspent and spent penalties must be declared.
  • Reference checks required before interview.
