Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant

Position:
Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant at Academics.

This role involves supporting children with special educational needs across a wide range of additional needs, including complex needs, challenging behaviours, social emotional and mental health needs, and physical disabilities. You will act as an extra set of hands for the teacher, helping pupils manage emotions, communicate effectively, and engage in classroom activities.

• Assist teachers in supporting pupils with SEND to manage emotions, communicate effectively, and engage in activities.
• Provide classroom support to students with a wide range of additional needs, including complex needs and behavioural challenges.
• Assist pupils with social emotional and mental health needs and physical disabilities to participate in lessons and school life.

• Experience supporting people with a disability or SEN.
• Comfortable working in school environments.
• Ability to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about working with people with additional needs.
