Thales - System Integration & Test - 12 month Internship (Cheadle)

Within the Maritime Mission Systems domain, the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) organisation supports development, design proving, installation, integration and acceptance of maritime sensor technologies and combat system integration on Royal Naval ships, submarines and aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification activities required to introduce MMS system solutions into service.
  • Work as a member of a test team to deliver high-quality, robust hardware and software solutions that meet customer requirements, on time and within budget.
  • Develop test strategies, write associated test procedures, and conduct and document test results.
  • Support customer support functions to maintain deployed hardware and software products on land and at sea.
  • Support the execution of development and integration de-risking activities in support of MMS programs and the introduction of new technologies.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience

You will be studying for a degree in a relevant engineering discipline, e.g. electronic engineering, computer science, systems engineering, etc.

  • Understanding of Integration, Verification, Validation & Qualification (IVVQ).
  • A desire to learn about the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.
  • Ability to understand complex systems.
  • Methodical and structured approach to problem investigation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a key member of the team.
  • Desire to take responsibility for your professional development.
