Site Engineer

Location: Stoke-On-Trent

North build are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our growing team, delivering a range of residential and commercial civil engineering and groundworks projects across the North West. Working for a well-established civil engineering subcontractor, you will be responsible for setting out, surveying, and supporting the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities Carry out setting out for residential and commercial civil engineering and groundworks projects. Undertake topographical and as-built surveys using modern surveying equipment. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Ensure works are delivered accurately and in accordance with project requirements. Liaise with site managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients. Maintain accurate site records, survey data, and quality documentation. Assist with quality assurance inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Identify and resolve setting out or engineering issues on site. Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. Requirements Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering and groundworks. Strong background in residential and commercial projects. Competent in setting out using GPS and robotic total stations. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Good understanding of construction methods and quality standards.

Full UK driving licence. CSCS Card. Desirable HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. SMSTS or SSSTS. First Aid qualification. Experience using AutoCAD and surveying software.
