You will contribute to projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, safety, sustainability, and cost effectiveness across Sibelco's operations.
In this role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Driving Process Engineering projects from initial concept through planning, execution, commissioning, and operational ramp-up.
- Developing and optimizing mineral and material processes through trials, process simulations, flow sheets, troubleshooting, and technical analysis.
- Supporting production sites with technical expertise, identifying opportunities for process improvements, debottlenecking, and operational excellence.
- Conducting technical and operational process audits, analysing production and quality data, and developing clear recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, external engineers, suppliers, and contractors while ensuring knowledge sharing, quality control, and compliance with Sibelco's safety standards.
To be successful in this role, you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemistry, Geology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment, preferably within mining, minerals processing, or a related industry.
- Strong expertise in process engineering and proven experience planning, executing, and evaluating industrial projects.
- A proactive, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with tools such as CAD, Excel, databases, or process simulation software is an advantage.
