Electrical Systems Design Engineer Hybrid Working | 1 Day from Home | Career Progression | Are you an Engineer with experience in technical design, electrical systems or CAD drawings looking to build a long-term career within a growing technology business? Part of a globally recognised Group, this company is looking for an Electrical Systems Design Engineer to join its Systems Design Engineering team.

For more than 60 years, this successful company has developed innovative communication systems throughout the UK.

The Role As a Systems Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and supporting communication systems from initial order through to installation and ongoing customer variations. Working closely with Project Managers, customers and internal teams, you'll be responsible for ensuring designs are technically accurate, compliant and delivered within project timescales.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing technical drawings and wiring schematics. Creating and maintaining design documentation. Reviewing project specifications and customer requirements. Ensuring compliance with electrical standards. Supporting project variations and technical changes. Liaising with Project Managers and manufacturing teams. Assisting with software configuration elements. Supporting bespoke design requirements. Attending occasional customer meetings and site visits. What We're Looking For We're open to candidates from a variety of engineering and technical design backgrounds.

You'll ideally have:
An engineering, technical drawing or AutoCAD-related qualification. Electrical knowledge and understanding. Experience producing technical drawings or schematics. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Experience working with customers and stakeholders. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Importantly, extensive CAD experience isn't essential. A good working knowledge combined with a willingness to learn would be welcomed, as full training and development are available.
