Are you detail-oriented, organised, and ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our supportive team at Vertu Ford Stoke

This is a Full-Time, permanent role where we are offering a basic salary of £28,000-£29,000 depending on experience plus an excellent range of company benefits.

About the Role:

You’ll work closely with our Accountant to support the wider management team with vital information that helps drive smart business decisions. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in a wide range of finance tasks, including:

  • Creating reports and spreadsheets
  • Assisting with management accounts
  • Managing payroll
  • Forecasting and estimates
  • Reconciling accounts (including balance sheets and manufacturer bonuses)
  • Managing cash flow
  • Handling accruals and prepayments
  • Supporting credit control processes
What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in an accounting role
  • Has a full driving licence, as travel to different sites may be required
  • Enjoys working with data and numbers
  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Is confident using Excel and other Microsoft tools
  • Communicates clearly and works well with both finance and non-finance colleagues

Experience in the motor trade or with Kerridge systems is a bonus, but not essential
