Ledger Assistant

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

We are recruiting for a Ledger Assistant to join an established business on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for the position to become permanent. The successful candidate will support the finance function, with a particular focus on accounts receivable and additional support for the purchase ledger team.

Job Description for the Ledger Assistant:
 
Allocating customer payments
Processing and raising invoices
Assisting with credit control activities
Raising credit notes
Resolving account queries and using problem-solving skills to address issues
Reconciling supplier statements
Providing general support to the Purchase Ledger team
Assisting with other finance-related duties as required  Candidate Requirements for the Ledger Assistant:

Experience with in accounts receivable / accounts payable is essential
Experience using accounting software
Problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Willingness to learn
Ability to support other colleagues within the business  This role would suit candidates with the following experience:
Accounts Receivable Assistant, Sales Ledger Clerk, Ledger Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or candidates with previous purchase ledger experience.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm or 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Per Annum
