Ledger Assistant

Location: Stoke-on-trent

We are recruiting for a Ledger Assistant to join an established business on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for the position to become permanent. The successful candidate will support the finance function, with a particular focus on accounts receivable and additional support for the purchase ledger team.

Job Description for the Ledger Assistant:

• Allocating customer payments
• Processing and raising invoices
• Assisting with credit control activities
• Raising credit notes
• Resolving account queries and using problem-solving skills to address issues
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Providing general support to the Purchase Ledger team
• Assisting with other finance-related duties as required

Candidate Requirements for the Ledger Assistant:

• Experience with in accounts receivable / accounts payable is essential
• Experience using accounting software
• Problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to support other colleagues within the business

This role would suit candidates with the following experience:
Accounts Receivable Assistant, Sales Ledger Clerk, Ledger Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or candidates with previous purchase ledger experience.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 am 5:00 pm or 8:00 am 4:00 pm
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Per Annum
