Strategic Finance Business Partner – Corporate Reporting

A great opportunity to join a Staffordshire local authority's finance function as Strategic Finance Business Partner for Corporate Reporting. Reporting into the Head of Finance – Corporate Reporting, you'll support the council's technical accounting, statutory reporting and closedown processes.

• Provide day-to-day strategic finance business partnering support to the Head of Finance – Corporate Reporting
• Support production of the Statement of Accounts and Group Accounts, including working papers and balance sheet reconciliations
• Contribute to year-end closedown and liaison with external audit, helping to resolve queries
• Support treasury management reporting and other statutory corporate financial returns
• Provide financial analysis and technical input to support compliance with the CIPFA Code and relevant accounting standards
• Build strong relationships across finance and wider corporate teams, providing both support and challenge
