We are recruiting for a Ledger Assistant to join an established business on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for the position to become permanent. The successful candidate will support the finance function, with a particular focus on accounts receivable and additional support for the purchase ledger team.
Job Description for the Ledger Assistant:- Allocating customer payments
- Processing and raising invoices
- Assisting with credit control activities
- Raising credit notes
- Resolving account queries and using problem-solving skills to address issues
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Providing general support to the Purchase Ledger team
- Assisting with other finance-related duties as required
- Experience with in accounts receivable / accounts payable is essential
- Experience using accounting software
- Problem solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to support other colleagues within the business
This role would suit candidates with the following experience:
Accounts Receivable Assistant, Sales Ledger Clerk, Ledger Assistant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or candidates with previous purchase ledger experience.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm or 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Per Annum
