Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Belmont Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Accountant / Finance Business Partner to join Stoke-on-Trent Council on an initial 6-month contract.
The successful candidate will support the Council’s corporate function, reporting directly to the Senior Finance Business Partner. The role will involve providing financial support and guidance, supporting financial planning and monitoring, and helping the organisation achieve its financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Support financial monitoring, reporting and budget management.
* Assist with financial forecasting and planning.
* Support the identification and delivery of savings.
* Use SAP and other financial systems to manage and analyse financial information.
* Work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and relevant stakeholders to support effective financial management.
Requirements
* Relevant experience in accounting, finance or financial business partnering.
* Professional Qualification
* Experience of financial monitoring, forecasting and budget management.
* Understanding of savings delivery and financial planning.
* Experience using SAP or similar financial management systems.
* Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
