Part time Accounts Assistant

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Our client is seeking an experienced part-time accounts person to support the Finance Manager. This role will be working on a temp to perm basis, they can offer flexibility in when the hours are completed; 2 days or school hours over three days, this can be discussed at interview to make if fit for both parties. This department is a small, friendly office, so working in a small team would be beneficial

Job Description:

Raising sales invoices
Posting bank reconciliations
Handling cash and preparing for bank
Entering details onto excel spreadsheets to log incoming cash
Entering information on to Xero system
Maintaining filing system for finance related documents
Maintenance of the Xero general ledger
Supporting the Finance Manager in the completion of ad hoc finance related issues   Candidate Requirements:  
 
Strong experience within transactional accounts
Xero experience is preferred
Strong accuracy and a detail conscious approach
Work to deadlines and deliver complex tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Someone who can work using their own initiative
Team player, work well with colleagues

Hours:

Monday to Friday, flexi hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm 15-16 hours per week, can be 2 days or spread over 3 days to suit
Salary: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour
