Fixed-term Case Administrator post in the Probation Service, open to Armed Forces leavers, veterans, eligible spouses and reservists under the Advance into Justice scheme, for 24 months. The work keeps processes and systems running, collates probation information for case files and handles enquiries from colleagues, agencies and people on probation. Postings can be across probation delivery units, courts, prisons, unpaid work and several other probation functions, with hybrid working where business need allows.
Applicants who did not hold a Skilled Worker visa before 22 July 2025 cannot be sponsored.
- Ensure processes run efficiently
- Maintain systems properly
- Collate and prepare probation information for case files
- Handle enquiries from colleagues, agencies and people on probation in a busy environment
- Support probation staff working with people on probation
- Relevant experience evidenced in application form answers
- Strong communication skills
- Civil Service Success Profile behaviours: communicating and influencing, delivering at pace, working together, managing a quality service
- Eligible under the Advance into Justice scheme as a service leaver, veteran, eligible spouse or civil partner, or Armed Forces Reservist
- Right to work in the UK and the Civil Service
- DBS Standard check
- VISOR vetting after offer
- Security and identity checks before taking up post
- Held a Skilled Worker visa before 22 July 2025 if sponsorship is needed

- Annual leave of 25 days rising to 30 after five years, plus public holidays, pro-rata for part-time
